Shaker Card with Pretty Pink Posh!!!

http://prettypinkposh.com/2014/04/sequin-shaker-blog-hop.html
Okay... So this is a little about Pretty Pink Posh, and a little about my new Lawn Fawn. I couldn't resist trying my hand at a shaker card for the first time... LOTS! of learning curves to be had there. I'll go into that in just a moment. Paulina at Pretty Pink Posh is also having a fun blog hop with Shaker Cards, and I couldn't resist taking just a moment to join in the fun!
I used my Lawn Fawn Say Cheese die, along with the Hearts Lawn Cuts and some watercolored paper. The sentiment is from the Hello Friend Lawn Fawn sentiment set. To create the shaker, I layered some packaging from a box that I cut from the Say Cheese die, and used a piece of plastic from some embellisments.
I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and then embossed it with white embossing powder. To create the chalkboard effect, I used VersaMagic chalk ink. The sequins are all from Pretty Pink Posh in Marshmallow, Onyx and Pink Peonies. LOVE! I had to shake up the card and snap a pic. Couldn't resist! Thanks for looking!!

Supplies:
Pretty Pink Posh sequins, WRMK & Authentique papers, watercolor and watercolor paper, Lawn Fawn stamp and dies

AUTHENTIQUE PAPER: I "Promise" You'll Have a Happy Easter!

I love this card. Really, I do. I know that I probably should give it away for Easter, but I kind of want to just look at it some more. I started with a fun Lori Whitlock A2 Easter Basket Box Card and the 6x6 Bundle from Authentique's Promise Collection. The fun thing about these Silhouette cuts, are that they are super easy to put together and look amazing. They also fold up to fit in a standard A2 evelope!
I used a piece of kraft paper for the base, then layered various papers from the 6x6 Bundle. The smaller patterns really make this card pop.
To create the sentiment, I used the Happy Easter banner from the Components 6x12 Die Cuts. Even the bow was cut from the 6x6 Bundle, then I added a sweet matching enamel dot.
Of course, I had to use some dark brown Core'dinations cardstock to make a fun chocolate bunny! Happy Easter everyone!

Here's today's lineup:

I was lucky enough to work with the very fun Tiny Celebrate Designer Templates. I still had a few birthday photos from my little munchkin that very much needed scrapping, and this was the perfect venue for them. I started with My Girl from American Crafts papers, and my fantastic Tiny Celebrate Designer Templates.
For this layout, I used a January 2 page layout from PageMaps as my base, and like most sketches... I changed up quite a bit of it.
One of my favorite parts of the Tiny Celebrate Designer Templates were these balloon shapes. I really liked that there were two sizes, and I could easily ink and then pop them up with dimensional adhesive. I even tied some twine around each of them in order to make them more like birthday balloons.
The second thing I loved about this set, was this fun pinwheel. Once it was folded, it made the perfect embellishment for the layout. I even used an enamel dot to pin down the edges.
This layout didn't feature ice cream, so I took the ice cream top, and turned it into clouds.

OH! I cannot forget about the banner! I took the ice cream cone, and cut off the bottom of the triangle to create this adorable banner.
Make sure that you leave a response before 11:59 PM MST on Sunday April 6TH for that $25 gift certificate to the Kiwi Lane Shop. If you become a follower (or already are), I'll pick a commenter at random to win a cute little embellishment pack on Monday! Have fun!!
Now... Head on to my fabulously scrappy friend, Misty Buck http://www.mistylynnwhat.blogspot.com/ to see the amazingness that she has created this morning!
