Instead of simply using this image as a starting point, I wanted to use these adorable square cardstock bases that I got at TJ Maxx for $1.99. Sometimes I find the neatest things in the most random of places. I then took a bunch of scraps and leftover pieces and created a little house. Since the little card needed a sentiment, I created a puff of smoke from the chimney, and used ChalkInks to create a smoky sentiment.
I also used a couple of my Stickles, both for the grass and the cloud to add more interest. I loved using the ricrac and the pompom ribbons! All-in-all, I kind of like this little card. I'm hoping that someone moves soon, so that I can use this little card.
*************
AND!!! I wanted to celebrate my 150th post!! I was tidying my scrappy area, and realized that I have a TON of stuff that either A) I've only used a little bit, or B) I've never used. I probably should send some love elsewhere, and want you my lovely readers to get some of my scrappy goodness. There is already an AC Remarks Alpha (new), a Cosmo Cricket TinyType numbers set (new), some embellishments, a couple of gently used AC journaling books that I just don't use anymore, a (new) 6"x6" mini book and a few odds and ends.
Just to let you know, gently used to me, means less than half-used sticker books, cardstock and patterned paper that is not smaller than 6"x6" (perfect for cards!), or open product. I will not knowingly include anything that is bent or damaged.
I want to add more to the box as more people are involved, and so have two ways to enter this.
ENTRIES:
1. Simply make a comment (please make sure you leave an email, or link to a blog so I can contact you!)
2. Be a follower (I will confirm this), and make a second comment (ditto to the contact info!)
I'll let the contest run until 11:59 PM, March 15, 2012. Open to US and Canada residents only. Winner chosen by Random.org.
