Moxie Fab World: Color Inspiration: The Monochromatics Challenge

For this card, I decided to create something more fitting for the Valentine's season... Using the following colors for the Moxie Fab World Color Inspiration for Cardmaker's Week, I created a beautiful card for my sweetie.

The Bazzill inspirations were three shades of pink: Bubblegum, Precious and Pinkini.

Instead of the Bazzill versions, I used a base of Basic Grey Two Scoops patterned paper, two shades of pink cardstock from American Crafts that I used my Cricut to die cut the heart, a Making Memories pink ribbon with a Basic Grey rub-on sentiment, My Mind's Eye butterfly rub-ons and bling, and Basic Grey rub-on swirls to tone down the dark pink of the butterflies. I also hand punched the double heart on the die cut and hand sewed using a similar variation on the medium pink shade of the heart.
I really like the simplicity of this card, but I know that it took quite awhile to make "just" right. My sweetie will love it ;)

  2. Hi Heather. I found your blog from the SS blog post you left. I'm procrastinating doing any housework so I'm mulling around in blogland! I love this card - it's so beautiful!
