So... The new Jillibean Design Team gets called out tomorrow... And I doubt that I'm on it. Or let's put it this way... I was never notified. That's a nice way of saying no. :)

Anyway... Here are the projects that I made. Realize, there IS NO JILLIBEAN SOUP IN MY LSS!! The pieces that I do have are from 2009, and some of their baker's twine. The rest... I just tried to recreate the same style of Jillibean. Enjoy! Pin It

Look Forward to a Giveaway!!

I haven't been around much. Believe me, I'm not slacking! I've actually been working on my National Boards for Professional Teaching Standards in Early Adolescence Through Young Adulthood Art.

Since that has taken the majority of my time, and I really want to celebrate the completion of the whole darn thing... I am going to have a giveaway on Friday!! A little scrappy goodness for my followers. Be sure to comment on Friday's post!!

Artist Trading Cards... Want to Share???

So. ScrapbookSteals is trading ATC's. And I... Scrapped them. Even stamped them. And Cricuted them. Paper pieced them. Blinged them. ((Apparently I'm making up a lot of words!))

For Japan with Love: Bloggers Day of Silence 3/18

There are not many words that I can use to truly express how devastating Japan's earthquakes and tsunami were last week. When, after three long days of trying desperately to get hold of my friends Sayaka and Michiko, I scoured every email sent since 2002 trying to find phone numbers.

Thankfully, Michiko emailed me back. And Sayaka, one of my favorite people in all the world (and one of my beautiful bridesmaids in 2004) was finally contacted by phone. They, and their respective families made it through all of the damage safely.

I still cry when I think about how thankful I am that these two fabulous ladies are safe.

In honor of Sayaka and Michiko, and all of the families and friends throughout the world that have prayed for, worried about, lost or found people in Japan, I will silence my blog on Friday, March 18.

Anyway... That does mean that I get to share and showcase the items I DID make for "tryouts".

The first photos are the birdhouse that I decorated. I think it looks a little empty... But I'm giving it away... So want to allow for the recipient to finish decorating it herself!!

The second was "Happy Spring" card. I added tulle and pins, as well as used a TON of dimensional adhesives...

"Brownies" was a lot of fun. I Versamarked the background with a flower stamp, added a LOT of bling, and used some really fun photos!
For this layout, I took a piece of shaped paper, cut it in half and then strung the two pieces together like an envelope. Then, I added a bunch of embellishments to decorate :)

Save money. Make glue dots!!! (small and large!!)

I was the guest blogger for Scrapbooksteals's How To'sDay today!! Check out how I made glue dots the VERY inexpensive way!!!

Remember, these can be made VERY small... or VERY large! It's really up to you how big you want to make them!

I stumbled upon this when I was checking out Heather's blog. Khristen over at Khristen's Craft Room. She's trying to get 100 followers (which would be awesome!!).

To help build some interest... She's also cleaning out her scraproom (something I should probably do myself!) and is going to give away a LOT of stuff. This would be awesome to give to the girls in my card-making "club".
