AUTHENTIQUE PAPER: "Love You Forever" Accordion Mini Album

I know that the New Year is coming up soon, but I really wanted to share with you this fun little "Love You Forever" Accordion Mini Album. To start, I used the wonderful Accordion Mini Album cut file by Paige Evans. She has a ton of great files, and quite a few mini albums. Make sure to watch the YouTube video she has for this if you get stuck. I followed the tips that she used for not taping the top of the middle pages to allow for extra tags.
The outer cover was a combination of Romance Three and Eight. I backed the image from Eight with a little bit of Five. Inking the edges a little bit gives the perfect amount of contrast between papers.
The inside focuses on the various patterns, highlighting the lace image from Romance Two. A sweet sentiment from the 12x8" Elements sheet sets the mood.
Once all of the pages were put together, I added the tags into the middles of each of the paired papers.
A pretty gold threaded twine adds the perfect amount of sparkle.
Once the accordion pages were all glued together, I added bits of cut papers from the 12x12 papers, and the cut-a-parts from Romance Eight
The opposite side is equally decorated. You could easily add mini photos or wallet sized photos to this as well. The pieces from the Elements 12x12" sheet have perfect sentiments and details to add more interest to your project.
The cut tags are a perfect space to write little messages to your beloved. Special memories, ephemera, or things that you loved about them would be a great place to start.
Each tag is topped with the sparkly twine. Easy to remove to read.
The entire accordion is glued into the cover. I loved pairing different patterns together. Here, Romance Two, Three and Five all play nicely together.
A great side shot of the entire album all folded up. I love all of the different shades of pink and red that the Romance Collection has.
I hope that this inspires you to create a mini album for a loved one that you have. You don't have to create something huge from scratch, a simple cut file can help you start to create your perfect Valentine.

AUTHENTIQUE PAPER: "Adore"-able Valentine's Packaging

I wanted to share with you a few quick and easy Valentine's that you could make using Authentique's new Adore Collection. To start, I found an adorable Heart Window Treat Wrap (#114931) that was just the right size for a little Valentine's Jelly Belly box. I cut the pieces from Blushing and the Enhancements page. I really love that black and white stripe that was on the reverse of the images, and wanted to showcase it. Finish them with ribbon and a sticker, and they are perfect!
The "Love" home decor was simply a fun wood piece I found at my local craft store, then painted white and covered with pieces from the 6x6 Bundle. To get the letters just so, I made sure to glue then down first, cut with a craft knife, then sand the edges smooth. Inking the edges last, makes any imperfections disappear!
The last little Valentine I have for my little family is a fun gift bag that I filled with yummy chocolates. I just love the Blushing paper, and had to use it once again. I used almost the entire sheet for this, and it's just the perfect size for an entire bag of goodness! To make the bottom more secure, I glued in a small square of 110# cardstock. To complete this, I used some wonderfully pink May Arts ribbons.
The fun gift tag is created from one of the Components die cuts, and a Details sticker that I hole-punched. Simple and perfect.
Hopefully this gets you in the mood to create some fabulous Valentine's yourself!
Adore Collection: Blushing, Enhancements, 6x6 Bundle, Details stickers, 6x12" Components
Additional Supplies: May Arts ribbons, Silhouette Cameo, Silhouette Online Store [Heart Window Treat Wrap (#114931), Vertical Heart Box (#37202)], wood word, white paint, inks, adhesive, candies

February's Pinspired with Gossamer Blue Challenge

I often stumble through Pinterest pinning random things to all of my boards. However, it's not often that I actually go through and create something based on anything I pin. Which is kind of unfortunate, because I do pin cute stuff all of the time. I'm trying to get better about it, and actually create things. When Gossamer Blue started their new "Pinspired with Gossamer Blue Challenge", I was completely tempted to join in. I also needed a couple of cards, so it was a perfect excuse to play along. HERE is my inspiration pin, and it's from the Glitz Design Team located HERE. I couldn't find the original post, sorry...
This lovely little pretty was created for my mom. She needed a little bit of cheering up, and it's perfect for her. Bright, cheery, and has green. I also used some more of the bits and pieces of my January Gossamer Blue kit.

This next card uses Authentique's Lovely Collection. I have used almost every scrap of this collection. It's just that perfect. Seriously. If you haven't snagged it all up before it goes away, make sure that you do! It's just beautiful.
I think one day I might just have to make a tutorial on how to get that ribbon... I'm not sure how the original cardmaker did it, but I sure have a fun trick!

AUTHENTIQUE: A LOVELY Layout!

Today's project was a long way in the making. I've had these adorable photos of my little one for awhile now, just waiting for the perfect papers to mix them with. Although they are not Valentine photographs, the "lovely" pinks, reds, black and creams of the Lovely Collection are perfect. I loved adding all of the different Petaloo flowers throughout the layout.
I started with a full sheet of Amour, then layered Dainty, Valentine and Be Mine, using the Kiwi Lane Designs templates in Paisley Place to showcase all of the various papers. The photos were matted using the 6x6 pad from the Paper Crafting Assortment.
I then added Petaloo's wonderful flowers from their Spring Darjeeling collection (Mini Daisies, Dahlias, and Mini Pearl Daisies), along with some small embellishments from the Paper Crafting Assortment. I love all of the little die cuts in the set.
The little lock sticker is a perfect addition, peeking out from behind the photo corner.
I die cut the title using my Silhouette and both the pattern and the reverse of the Keynote paper. It needed something more however, so I used the Picolla Cool-Set Enameling Gel in Napthol Red. The Enameling Gel was a perfect addition, as it gave shine and dimension to the heart.
Lastly, I added another die cut from the Paper Crafting Assortment, and another Mini Pearl Daisy.
It was really fun to play with flowers in a layout. All of the little details really made this a special project that I know that I will cherish forever.
